i knew how to do that in 7.2, it had a file called "default" in /etc/sysconfig directory, but i can't find this file in MDK 8, anyone know where it is ?? or it's equivalent...
I'm trying to change from KDE, which is much better then it was in 7.2, to BlackBox, i'm in love for it... ;) ...

As root, type chksession -l. This gives a list of available windowmanagers. (AfterStep, BlackBox, Gnome, KDE etc..) then to start X with windowmanager of choice, use startx Gnome (or BlackBox or AfterStep etc)
Also, you can make a file called .xinitrc in your home directory that has the commands to start your favorite windomanager.

if you use xdm or kdm you will want to edit your ~/.xsession file (or make one) to run your wm of choice

just go in mandrake control-center
display ,start-up
put a check in startX at boot
and select bb as default manager
