Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : Is evilwm any good?
I am new to linux, and i want something simple w/ full keyboard control. Evilwm caught my eye, but the only website i have found for it is http://evilwm.sourceforge.net/.
Do i dare try it?
I understand black box is supposed to have good keyboard support, but i can't find any specific details and i don't speak Portuguese.

Just had a quick look at evilwm and it doesn't look too bad. Depends on what you are looking for.
Have you researched some of the others? Quite a few are mentioned in this forum and there's always the 'What is the best WM/DM' usually posted in General.
Either way, good luck.

Why not try it? What have you got to lose?
Also: there are QUITE a few minimalist WMs out there:
ion, ratpoison, <can't remember> and this one. :)
Try google!
K, thanks, I'll check those out.

EPIwm looks great. Easily configurable and not ugly.
Is there some place I can find out how to setup slackware with a different window manager? I have to edit some sort of .xinitrc file?
