Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : adding something into WM menu
How do I go about doing this? I d/l a tar of opera and configure it and all. When I go into X and click on the screen to get the menu opera is not in there. I have to open a terminal do the cd to oper* then ./opera to launch. Is there a way to get this in my list? Using Debian.

You can add stuff to the menu's using the WindowMaker Preferences tool...
If you still have it, the icon on the upper right dock with the screwdriver will get you there, or on my install you can get to it from the "appearance" submenu, or you can just run WPrefs.

There's also a program called wmakerconf - does the same job as WPrefs but is a bit more self-explanatory in my opinion.

You can edit the menu with the Preferences tool but I'm afraid you can't use the Debian menu anymore if you change the menu yourself. When you try to change the menu with WPrefs, you get a message saying that the menu cannot be opened because WPrefs doesn't understand its format.
You have two choices: keep current menu and don't edit it with WPrefs, or copy the defaut WM menu and change it to suit your needs. But if you select the "copy default menu" you don't have the nice Debian menu anymore. :(
Now I'm just wondering that is it possible to have both the Debian menu and an own customisable menu inWM?
