am installing a slackware distro, when i run x-win an error message appears. there is no device fd0.. what in the hell is fd0?i have an s3 virge card. it never happened before...how can i configure my x-win?? :mad:

fd0 is the floppy drive.
Some application (file manager, maybe) must be trying to display the contents of the floppy drive. No idea. Put a disk in the drive, and see what happens.

sorry i got it wrong, its not fd0 its fb0. what can i do?? when i install redhat6 it worked!! but i like slackware better.

Well, that makes a little more sense.
"fb" is probably FrameBuffer. I've never done FrameBuffer, so I don't know anything about it, regretfully. I like to keep my graphics OUT Of my kernel.
If nobody more framebuffer-oriented comes along, let me just say that you should double-check your X configuration file. Perhaps you have it set up to use Framebuffer instead of one of the normal drivers, but don't have Framebuffer in the kernel. Based on my limited experience with framebuffer, that's my only suggestion.
