remote X

How do I set it up so that I can connect to my box's X server and get my desktop and all from an X terminal or someone else's linux box? right now it just kinda hangs when it does it.

What are you currently doing/have done which isn't working. What output do you get? Any errors? A google.com/linux search brings up many different pages on remote X,
this (http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/mini/Remote-X-Apps.html) being one of them.

I type X -query <remotebox> :0 from the non gui command line and it starts up, but hangs where the screen is white with a moree <sp?> pattern on it. it never actually brings up a desktop.

ok, I got it to allow me to log in using gdm. does anyone know how to add WMs to the list of desktops that I can use?
