OK, I guess I'll have to ask.
I've been trying all morning to embed an image in a reply to "usual"'s screenshots thread. I have no website so I can't just supply a link. I've been using the IMAGE tag box in the reply page but can't seem to get the right context for the image file on my HD to be embedded in the image.
I seem to remember getting a smaller image file to work recently by putting "file:/path/to/image.jpeg" between the tags...

I suppose you could do that, but then of course that image would only show up on your machine because none of us have that image in that exact location of our harddrive. If we do, then just tell us the dir to look in :D
(it's like linking to http://localhost/foo.img)

I see them in a lot of posts here..

You put the image on the web somewhere, then enter the web address in the image tags.
