I just managed to install and get fluxbox running. I want to change the background now, the color and the image. Can anyone tell me how to do that? I can't seem to find where they are specified.

bsetbg filename

to change background image. For color and such, check into bsetroot. As far as I know there's no where to change it in a config file...

ok, thanks, I got it to work. My next question is how can I get a panel like in KDE or Gnome? How can I get icons on the desktop? and... is it possible to make the toolbar show more than 1 active program... like the windows taskbar?

You can put bsetbg and bsetroot in the style files.
The is a way to use blackbox and, thus I assume, fluxbox with KDE it involves recompiling blackbox with the a kde compatiblity option.

You can start a gnome panel by putting panel & in your .xinitrc file if you use startx and kicker & if you want the kde panel although mangeli knows more about fluzbox and the kde kicker. I use the gnome panel with no problems.
