I would be VERY grateful to know how to change Konqueror's view mode permanently. I always want to be in the mode "tree view", but Konqueror forgets this and I have to reset it each time. Does anyone know?

Well, I never really thought about this before, but once you have the Konqueror file manager window set up the way you want (including size):
- in the Menu go to Window, Save View Settings for "File Manager". The resulting window will present you with the option of saving the Windows size too.
A rather neat feature, now that I've found it.
