And no matter what you think it is simply the best wm out there. By far. Really. Go get it! The shot natuarally doesn't show everything it can do. Guess what happens if I click on any entry in the open menu... Yup, that's right. It downloads the corresponding kernel from my mirror of choice. Needless to say that the menu automagically updates as new kernels are released. Only one of the very neat things this WM can do. I've got to stremline the icons in the button bar a little. It allows you to log into and work in a GUI interface from a remote location. You can view the virtual desktop with a VNC viewer as shown in the screenshot I posted or even in any Java capable web browser (though that tends to be very slow). Cool thing about VNC is if I was to close the viewer in the state shown in my screenshot, for example, I could log back in from anywhere and all the applications that are open would still be open and as I left them. Very handy little application (and its free). Check the link above for some more info. demian 03-25-2002, 09:15 PM Originally posted by George Kilroy: <STRONG> Wow! So it's not that I wrote a config file by hand with all the kernel versions and their respective locations. Rather the menu is selected, it runs finger @kernel.org, parses the results, creates the links to the locations at the ftp server and displays that as a menu (and, no, this doesn't lead to any noticable delay when the menu pops up).
