My current problem is that my computer was killed by the Chonobal virus, that leaves me with a 32Mhz machine with about 12M RAM. Is there any way of installing Linux on this type of system?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I am assuming that it is a 386DX or something like a 486SX or 486DX. I forget if the current Linux has a 486 install or even supports 386 anymore. But the older Linux systems came in 386 format like the 1.X Kernels. Eccentric 05-12-1999, 04:59 PM If you rebuild your kernel you can configure it to operate efficiently on a 386 with or without a Math co-processor. You should be able to install any current distribution, but as soon as you get it installed you may want to make yourself a custom kernel to get the best performance. justlinux.com
