I have a dual monitor system which is configured just fine for all window/desktop managers except gnome. It only appears on Screen 1. Just a plain (no windowmanager/desktop) X screen on 2.
Do I have to enable something in gnome to get it to extend onto screen 2?
Thanks.

What window manager are you using with gnome?
What happens if you only start that window manager?
Have you read about xinerama? (I think that's the correct spelling). This is related to /etc/X11/XF86Config

I'll give it a try.

I've used Xinerama in debian but I can't seem to get is to work in MDK 8.1 it bombs X out.
Besides, I'd rather use two seperately configured monitors, it is less of a PITA when maximizing windows.
