IceWM Config Troubles

I have this in my ~/.icewm/winoptions file
MainWindow.licq.doNotCover: 1

It doesn't work. Other windows still cover up licq. This used to work, then I removed IceWM for a little while. Any ideas?

From the looks of things, I would believe that you are on the right track. I do not have LICQ, but I have something setup for Gkrellm.

gkrellm.Gkrellm.doNotCover: 1

However, Gkrellm is cable of being covered. I have found that when maximizing a window that Gkrellm will not be covered. See what happens with LICQ in this respect.

I solved my problem.

gkrellm and licq had to be on the "dock" layer

~/.icewm/winoptions
MainWindow.licq.layer: Dock
MainWindow.licq.doNotCover: 1

and in ~/.icewm/preferences
# Let the Dock layer limit the workspace (incompatible with GNOME Panel)
LimitByDockLayer=1 # 0/1
