Gnome problem

Without any hoola this is the prolem

in gnome my "L" key always brings up a menu of the programs available.. i beleive this may be the left click menu on the desktop..

the BIG problem with this is that no matter what program i am running the "L" key ALWAYS brings up this menu... no matter what!

It would be a great help if someone could help me with turning this off...
