Hey I have `Drake 7.1 installed now and I forgot where and how to tuyrn off the monitor sleep function!

I have a screensaver set-up and it tests fine and will play fine for a few minutes but then the monitor goes to"sleep". It's not a major issue, just an annoyance. I got into the BIOS but there was no access control to that feature, Compaq bastards! Any ideas?

To turn off screen blanking do:

setterm -blank 0

I think Mandrake uses rc.local so you could put it there or do:

echo "setterm -blank 0" >> /etc/rc.d/rc.local

Thank you, I will give it a try tonight when I get home.

Nope, that didn't work. I read the man page and all but it was really lame and obscure. Oh well I guess I can live with it. Like I said it's just an irritant.

Thank you though!
