A debian girl? Sounds to good to be true.
In debian sawfish themes dir depends on what version of debian you are using I think, but either way you will find them here /usr/share/sawfish/sawfishversion/themes/

sawfishversion = whatever version of sawfish is installed like 0.36 or whatever.

make sure the themes you place in the dir are named with no numbers. Like blah-0.36.tar.gz wont work rename it to blah.tar.gz, also don't untar them. leave them as they are.

hope this helped. If not you can repost of email me or contact me at any of the places in my signature.

this has just been asked, in fact it's still on the first page of W/D managers, http://www.linuxnewbie.org/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=7&t=002495

Ludootje speaks the truth. Follow this link below to learn how to install a theme using Sawfish...

[url]http://www.linuxnewbie.org/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=7&t=002495[url]

And I had to untar the package in order to get them to install, but I'm using Redhat 7.1 w/kernel 2.4.2.

Still working on getting that desktop screenshot up somewhere, I can't get Apache to run for some reason...

thanks

You can also install them into /usr/share/sawfish/version.number/themes/ as well.
