Here's a Gnome question. How do I change the color? Mandrake uses a really ugly brown-gray by default. I want to change it to a lighter gray. When I say color, I mean the color of the widgets.

That'll run the control panel, colors should be in there. o0atomique0o 10-23-2000, 09:38 AM Actually, I think that colours are not in there--at least not in my Helix release. What you may need to do is change your default GTK theme. The easy way is to head over to www.themes.org, (http://www.themes.org,) click on gtk+, then find one you like. The harder way is to make a file called gtk.rc.mine in your home directory and list hex colour codes for the widget set. I think instructions on how to do this are at the gtk+ themes site. If not you can always look at a theme you almost love, and copy it to ~/gtk.rc.mine and hand edit it. **I actually just checked the link and found that the page has changed since I'd been there last. Go to http://gtk.themes.org/php/docs.phtml?docid=37 and you'll see the tutorial on total colour tweaking.** [This message has been edited by o0atomique0o (edited 23 October 2000).] TaeShadow 10-23-2000, 05:27 PM Thank you.
