Has anybody seen other articles talking about this? The reason I'm asking is that I'm positive I read about this months ago and the link (http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/entrepreneur.html?s=smallbiz/articles/20010514/microsoft_ackno) on the front page is to an article that doesn't have a date.
The other thing is that it says to delete dvwssr.dll. I checked M$'s knowledge base to see if they have any info on it and they have several security bulletins about that dll and they make it sound like it's a dll that actually does something. So regardless of whether or not it has a security problem, should you delete something that's going to make the rest of your stuff stop working? I don't know, just sounded odd to me.
Anyway, if this is true, then it hardly a suprise. Of course, they blame it on a couple of engineers, because they can't possibly admit that they put it in there on purpose.
