Don't forget that lossy data compression is pretty much worthless for most uses.

"Did you get that contract I lzipped and e-mailed to you?"

"Yeah, but when I lunzipped it, half of it was gone!"

Well it worked for me because when I compressed a Windows cd-image, it compressed down to 0k, thus getting rid of everything useless on the cd. :D
