I have downloaded mozilla 1.0 from mozilla.org. The problem is with the email client.
By default, the smtp server pointed to sendmail which is located at /usr/sbin/sendmail. I know for a fact that sendmail works correctly because I have used it in KMail. When I set it as smtp server and try to configure another pop account in Mozilla I get wierd errors. For example when I type pop.gmx.net as my pop server it says that it is not a valid server name.
However, I found that only if I use the gmx smtp server located at mail.gmx.net can I use the gmx pop server. Having done this I tried to shoot of an email and I get the error that I cannot connect to the smtp server, check that it is configured properly. The name and address of the smtp server specified is correct as I have used the same settings in windows.
If I try to change back to sendmail I get the same error.
I cannot figure this out.. any help would be appreciated..
