DX8 equivalent? (Everquest)

Hello again :)

Trying to get Everquest to run through Mankdrake Linux (8.2) via Win4Lin...good emulator so far.

Does anyone know if there is a program (package?) to emulate dx8 to run this? Also, after the install, I seem to be missing alot of random DLL's; this only started happening once I tried going thru Win4Lin...

As always VERY greatful for any information, or suggestions on what I can read to learn more...

It currently does not work Everquest with Transgaming WineX (http://www.transgaming.com/gamepage.php?gameid=10)
Best bet is not to play it and spend more time doing something more worthwile...like watching paint dry :p


(Forgive me, I'm a long time Everquest hater from before the game even launched. Any opinions mentioned in this post are mine and mine alone and should not be reflected towards these forums or anything else for that matter :p)
