Gaccm 06-16-2002, 01:04 AM it's a kernel module. you need to either 1) install it in your kernel and recompile your kernel, or 2) install it as a module and just run make modules and make modules_install (no need to recompile whole kernel). glussier 06-16-2002, 01:10 AM I just read, in another thread, that you are using Redhat 7.3, so no need to install another driver, the sound blaster driver is already there. At the command prompt just do an [b]sndconfig[b] and follow the onscreen instructions. Christopher L. Estep 06-20-2002, 04:17 AM That is well and good for non-5.1 Live! users; however, Live! 5.1 and Audigy users will want the new driver. Config, make, install, and install-tools, in that order (all done as root, of course). Rebooting will let Kudzu (the RH handy-dandy hardware finder) select your Live! 5.1/Audigy and mate it to the new driver. justlinux.com
