opera 6.0 won't work

I am running VecLinux 2.5. It came with Opera 6.0 TP3. When I ppp-go to log on in Xterm everything is fine. I connect with no problem. When I double click the opera icon in ICEWM desktop it takes a long time for Opera to appear. When it does I can't connect to anything. I continually get this message: "Could not locate remote server" It worked fine for a couple of months. I can't remember changing anything that might have caused a problem but something has happened. Anybody got any ideas?

Check /etc/resolv.conf to make sure your ISP's DNS servers are entered there correctly.
It should be in the form:
nameserver xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
nameserver xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
where the xx's are the IP number of your ISP's DNS nameservers.

I have just started having the same problem with Opera 6.01.
I can connect with any other browser so I think it may be a problem with opera itself. Weird...it worked the other day.

Yeah, tell me about it GWPRITCH. Opera's working again. Strange. I guess I'll just keep using it since it's the only browser installed right now on my system. Weird!
