After i push ok the pop up stayes there and half life crashes. I cant push any buttons...its just dead. An help will be appreciated. thanks

Hey, I read the games section (just wish it was more active :))
Sounds like your OpenGL is not configured, what vid card do you have? Also try some native OpenGL apps like Tux Racer or something to see if OpenGL is working correctly.
And don't click OK on that popup...it's suppose to just launch your browser, but it tries to launch it via windows...messy ;)

I presume your running half-life through wine. Which version are you using? from winehq? codeweavers? winex?
Did you use ./configure --enable-opengl when you compiled wine?
The codeweavers version of wine doesn't support OpenGL. How are you starting half-life? What command?

Well, the codeweavers version kida does support OpenGL, you just need to put a certain file (glext.h) in a certain place (/usr/X11R6/include/GL) when compiling it. If its there, it'll support it. But thats the only thing I can think of. Naturally, you'll want the correct drivers for your card. No distro has a default module suitable for this kinda thing. (Not yet) So you need to do it yourself. What kinda card you got?
PS: I look in the games forums, if theres something new. Most of my games work in Linux, and its a simple case of if it works, dont **** with it. But I still like to help people out. :D
