if i setup mandrake without apache everything works fine as soon as i add apache my dsl stops working. anybody can explain this?

Something must be misconfigured in Apache.
Have you verified the options in /etc/httpd/httpd.conf (that's where it is on mine) as correct?

Is it just web traffic that stops?
Can you ping out, or use FTP, and mail?
