can anyone suggest any good program i can use for my TV tuner? Sorry not really sure what kind it is i just want a good program to use. The one i'm using now XawTV won't let me change the language settings, so some of my channels are in spanish. any suggestions of what you guys use would help

Never tried any myself.
You should be able to find some by searching the application database at freshmeat.net as it's just about the best place for finding applications.
xawtv is my favorite TV application, i have tryed KwinTV and it locks up & crashes a bunch, GnomeTV wont even launch for me, and Zapper is crapware too...
i have had good sucess with xawtv, but there is a file named .xawtv that needs to be in your home directory, it has all the local configuration for your local cable TV system. mine looks like this, here is a copy & paste of it so it will probably lose some of the formating. i only included the first 5 channels on my TV because there are over 60 channels and it would make a very long list, the numbers for the contrast\bright\color can be adjusted by rightclicking in the xawtv window and a options dialog will open letting you adjust some settings...

I put .xawtv in my home dir like you said and I still get this<hr> This is xawtv-3.88, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.20-8)
