Every time I try to log out of X (gnome) w/ RH7, the system freezes for a very long time.
I used to just manuals killl the power.
However, last time i decided to let it go...to see what happens.
well, to my supprise, the error popped up
something like this : "task SaveYourself is not working properly" then I have a choice to kill it or wait....I killed it and everything shutdown fine. Now, just taking a guess, I think SaveYourself is the process (or part of it) that saves your desktop settings for you on exit. Usually it asks you before you log out, but you can also have it save automaticlly, like I did. I look on RH's site, but there is now fix for this. Does any1 know what the problem can be, why is it hanging on saving settings, and can it be fixed without RH releasing a patch? I do want the setings saved, so I can't just disable it.
thanks
