LimeWire will not run....

I have installed LimeWire and jre 1.3.1 but I keep getting the same error:
"Couldn't find or load essential class 'java/lang/Object'

Anyone getting it to run on Mandrake 8.0?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :confused:

This may sound like a stupid question but is java installed? I used limewire under windows and it required java to be installed on your system. So it is probably the same for linux.

I don't use it under Linux because I have everything I want already. If I want something new I will get it.

Note for anti-piracy people: Mine are ALL theme songs from movies. I'm not buying a soundtrack CD for just the theme song! The only exception to this is I don't have any James Bond ones becaue I found a CD with all the themes up to License to Kill.

Yeah, jre 1.3.1 is java runtime.
