hey,
mandrake 8.0, asus v6600 pure. now the question:

NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-1512.i386.rpm

NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-1512.mdk80up.i386.rpm

the above files are for "one cpu, uniprocessor kernel"

is that what i need for my single processor??
or do i need the "smp kernel" files on nvidia's site which i doubt.

whats the difference between the 2? i believe one is a kernel update and one is drivers for the card. correct?
could "sMP" mean multiprocessors?
excuse my ignorance

yes SMP means multiple processors (Symmetric MultiProcessor) ... so those should be the ones you need

if you did have more than one processor.

So get the ones for single processors since you do have only one.
