Hi I have a desire to learn linux and would like someone to help me sometime figure out how to work things in it.. I have AIM - PingGolfi3 and so if anyone owuld like to help me out... please post here... my man problem is connecting to internet right now with @home i tried last night just couldn't get it to work so maybe if someone with @home and Suse 7.1 could walk me through it! Thanx

just my 2 cents, here ...
if you want to pay for speed maybe an ADSL connection would be more appropriate. There are all kinds of problems with both technologies but one thing with the cable is that if you're in a fast growth area the more people will get cable accounts the slower your connection will become.
As for linux, stay close to linuxnewbie.org, you can find an answer for most of your questions,
