Hey Guys !


I have some movies from my windows time and i was wonderin if i could play them into linux . but nothing seems to happen - which format is supported ? And which program should i use ? Iam running RedHat 7 . Any ideas ?

Like avi and asf . theplayer jus doesnt seem to start the movie sometimes it seems as if it is loaded but nothing happens -
cant press the play button or so . Iam kinda frustrated .

What player are you using? Maybe there is a plugin for it? Do you have the codec?

One is called mediaplayer .the other one gvt i believe or kvt ?
But it doesnt even give me an error or so - really strange .

Do you have avifile (http://divx.euro.ru/) installed. That thing can handle a lot of those windows codecs.
