proftpd - kick/ban

is it possible to kick or ban people using proftpd? i've looked through their documentation, but i didn't see anything...

each user that logs in starts up a new process.
use ftpwho to see who's connected, it will show the process ID,
just kill ID

to ban them, add their IP or whatever to /etc/hosts.deny
