Mandrake 7.2 and KDE2

Hi just installed this distro and I'm having to problems:

1. No spell check (adn I nid et bda) in any of my KDE apps. I press spell check and it flashes on the screen but nothing happens.

2. My soundcard is setup properly but I can't get the system sounds to work.

Any ideas are welcomed

Go to the KDE Control panel then select Sound then Sound Server and make sure that Start aRts sound server is selected. That should solve the problem.

What's the soundcard?

It's an Advance Logic ALS 110. When I configure it in Hardrake I hear the little man's voice telling me the card has been configured and I hear the pretty music.
