Hi!

My linux is RedHat 6.2, 200mhz pentium mmx whit 64m of ram.

Now i have this problem whit samba... I have installed / compiled files from samba-2.0.7.tar.gz and edited my smb.conf file so that windows NT-workgroup and the NT-servers should be correct.

Samba daemons are running well, and all looks good till i try to run SWAT on my Netscape 4.5 No response at all from SWAT. SMB-services can be started too http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/wink.gif

I'd be glad if some of you guru kinda persons could help me out whit this samba prob of mine.

Thanks again.

Have you put a reference to SWAT in 'inetd'? Don't forget to specify the port in Netscape.

I had the same problem with running swat. If all the correct refernces are in you inetd file then run linuxconf and go to the samba section there to look at everything. Once it is accessed from there, try running swat again.

I allready downloaded gnoSAMBA, i managed to get all the services that i wanted but samba logfiles say that "netowork is unreachable". So is there something wrong in my network configuretion?

Thanks for help!

I installed gnoSAMBA and i was able to create services that i wanted... But samba logfiles say that "network is unreachable" so is my network configuretion all wrong or is the problem in samba configuration it self?
