I just recently installed Linux on my other 40GB hard drive on my laptop. I am trying to install AIM for linux, but i get the following error:
it says that it's missing the file:
libc++-libc.so.6
I have tried looking for the file on rpmfind.net, but i have not been successfull. I have also tried google.com but haven't found anything yet either. Can anyone help me with getting this to work? :confused:

I was missing libc.so.2. I couldn't install it as part of a package because it was conflicting with another package. But i managed to find another package which included the file. thanks to those who helped.
:)

have you tried to see if the install disc(s) for your distro have them?

You are missing a file in the C libraries. Do a google search for glibc, and find a release which provides libc.so.6 and upgrade your OS.
