I dunno, RedCarpet has worked flawlessly for me, until here in it's last incarnation, where it is a piece of Gnome 1.4. But, that's a whole nuther story, isn't it? Make sure you have the gtkhtml library installed, that MAY be what it's trying to tell us. All I can think of, but let's pursue it, it works here, surely we can puzzle out what's different.

Library is installed.

I have been trying to get Re-d carpet to work under Red-Hat Wolverine and now under `Drake 8.0.

Shucks, I was hoping that was it. I run a (mostly) RH6.2 and don't get any log output at all when I invoke redcarpet. This is true whether i run it from the CLI or run it out of Gnome. That looks like one for the bug-buddy, to me. Have you tried the chat thingy in the new Gnome? Amazingly, I got on there the other day, and Miguel himself was there answering questions. :) Ray

Correct me if i'm wrong, but in Drake 8.0 there is a tool called software manager. ( it's identical to red carpet). I'm begining to think it is red carpet but under a different name.

I have used it a lot lately for downloading, I tried to download and install red carpet, and got the message it was installed!!.
