Hi all,

My Abit KT7A-RAID board just crashed terribly, and I got a MSI KT7 Turbo (MS-6330) board as a replacement (temporaily, I hope).
Problem is that my 2 harddrives that ran on the HPT370 controller on the Abit board gives me grief on the Promise Ultra100 controller on the MSI board. That controller just insists on being a RAID controller (no option to turn that off in BIOS), and thus only makes the first harddrive available (IDE3 - /dev/hde). The second drive on the controller (IDE4 - /dev/hdg) is not accessible from Linux (currently Mandrake 8.0), but visible in the 'Promise BIOS'.

Have anyone had any success using two 'unraided' IDE disks on this mobo - any distro?
I have RedHat 7.2, Mandrake 8.0/8.1, and Debian 2.2.r3 available.
(I'll probably have to wait a couple of weeks to get a new Abit board on the warranty anyways, and put the MSI board to some use in another setup)

Cheers :)
