What programs are u guys using to run your bttv chipsets? I tried kwintv (cause I run KDE not gnome so gnometv is out of the question) but it likes to crash the whole system in 10 minutes. My card is a STB services one and I am also having no luck finding updated windowstv tuner programs. I tried CinePlayer DVR but that doesn't support STB cards. I also tried VisualReality but that didn't work either just craps out.

anyone help out? got no TV.

I use xawtv or motv both work fine in KDE in SuSE 7.3.

I have problems with kwintv not shutting the sound down when you exit the program.

I'm using a Hauppage card but the programs should work with any brand card if the chipsets are the same.

XawTV right here.
I only have minor probs like: when I exit it and restart, all the color goes to 0% again and I have to manually set color to 50% again for every channel.
Other than that it's OK.
Just gotta remember to 'modprobe bttv card=39' before entering X.

Read the BTTV documentation in the linux kernel sources.

when modprobe for RH7.2 when I specify the videomem= [what ever cat /proc/pci is] it says that vidmem is not a paramater for it, but if I just do
modprobe bttv
it works fine, anyone know if this is correct or is this y mine crashes all the time?
