Just setting up my Red Hat 7.1 system, and having trouble with the
graphics card. It's a Silicon Integrated Systems 6326 chipset based
unit (Powercolor C6326). The problem is (I forget the term) that the
display is distorted: much narrower across the centre of the screen
than across the top or bottom. It's usable, but very ugly.

I've read on the Linux lists that there's been a long-standing problem
with that chipset. Is that correct? Is there any solution to this? :(

Hi,

I have the same card and am using it with no problems at all. Right now I'm using Debian but had RH 7.1 a few months ago and all was fine. What is the exact problem? Might it be your monitor settings? I know my monitor has settings that let you widen, shrink, move screen, etc.

I am using the same card with RH7 and no probs at all. I even tried it on Mandrake 8.0 No Hassles at all. Check your settings again, maybe you are missing a very small detail somewhere.
