jaz drive

Hi, I have a 1GB jaz drive on redhat7. I am trying to mount a disk that is dos formatted using the command that I thought was pretty standard
mount -t vfat /dev/sda(nothing and 1-6) /mnt/jaz
and
mount -t msdos /dev/sda(nothing and 1-6) /mnt/jaz

I get this following error
/dev/sda* is not a valid block device...

The drive light however is blinking all the time when the cartridge is in the drive.

Any ideas.... :confused:
