Also can't install on Promise Ultra 66 controller

Just tried installing on an older box that is using a promise Ultra 66 controller. No Joy. :confused:

I read something about the promise Raid controllers in a Linuxmagazin. They testet the controllers...after the 3 reboot there were no more data on the hdds...but i couldn't remember which promise it was... :rolleyes:

To save myself a bit of typing, you can use the procedures in this (http://www.linuxnewbie.org/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=017833) thread over in General. Should work for ATA66 and 100.
