Hi all as we are all probably aware Nvidia cards just beg to be thrashed,in Win XX its usually a case of tweaking the registry to up the core/mem clock speeds,do any penguin fans know if its possible to do the same in linux and if so how? Thanks in advance! Kristine :)

System is: Mandrake 8.0
Xfree4.0.3 with Nvidia Drivers
TNT(pci)32 meg
AMDk6-2 500
128megs Ram.
P.s changed UT to run OpenGL renderer rather than default SDL openGL still fairly slugish Tho.

Get a program called nvclock. If you run debian is apt-getable. Latest is version 0.2.2. It runs from console and you run it as root.

I am proud to say, Evil3D.net is the home of nvclock. Oh yeah, new version coming this week. (Hopefully.)

Gah! what next got the nvclock program eventually! followed the readme file and did ./configure -- etc etc
then did the make command and a whole splurg of errors! im not much of a C++ expert but what the hell does the error:C++ style comments are not allowed in ISO C89 mean?? Whatever it is it means no overclocking today! :)

Darn good question! I have never had nvclock fail to compile. Email the author, and see if he can fix you up.
