a couple questions. first, how do i find out what type of modem i have? second, where would i go to see if anyone has made a much needed linux driver for my minmodem?

www.linmodems.org (http://www.linmodems.org) is a good place to start. they have a big list of winmodems and drivers(for some of them). Otherwise you might need an external. the one sure fire way to find out what your modem is take your cover off your computer, and take the modem out. if you bought your computer from someone, there should be some documentation to accompany it. hope that helps a little!
