Hello!

I have a CD-R in my computer, and it was to my understanding that I needed to give each user in the system writing permissions to the drive. I have successfully installed and can access the drive. I know how to give the write permission for the users, but I accidentally scrolled my mouse which made the users/permissions/group screen disappear. When I try to open up the "User and Group Manager," the following message appears:

In the title bar, it says: "Cannot Launch UserDrake"

The message that is displayed is:
Cannot lock user lib,
file /etc/ptmp or etc/gtmp exist.

My only option is to click OK. What to I need to do in order to get into the User and Group Manager setup? :) Do I need to delete these files? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :D

Never used Mandrake or DrakConf myself, but I would agree with you about the 2 files.

Don't delete /etc/ptmp or etc/gtmp, but instead move them to some other location and try DrakConf again. You can always move the 2 files back if it makes it worse.
