I'm a Linux newbie... just installed RedHat 6.0. I did a custom install and left all the network default settings. I have a NetGear FA310TX 10/100 PCI NIC and the install recognized it correctly and installed the Tulip driver for it.
After the install, I rebooted into Gnome and started to check everything out. I could ping the other workstations on my network and my ISDN router. Then I tried to setup DHCP (so I could use the ISDN internet connection). I must have done something VERY bad, because when I applied the changes the network would not reload. I tried changing the settings back to the original install settings, but the eth0 device fails on startup every time.
I tried re-installing with DHCP as the IP address for networking as shown in the RedHat networking install help, but the card just won't seem to inititialize corectly.
Anyone know what I can do now or where I might be able to get some help with this?
Thanks!
