Zoom 2920 Finally Arrived!

I installed my new Zoom 2920 this morning, and was able to get it working with Linux. Used setserial /dev/ttyS1 uart 16550A port 0x2000 irq 2.

Under minicom, the modem is VERY slow. Initialization string spits our halfway on the screen at first, then I wait for about 15 seconds before the rest pops out and the modem acknowledges with "OK".

I was able to connect to my ISP under minicom with the same slow response from the modem. What gives?

Can anyone answer my question re: the Zoom 2920? Again, just getting very sluggish performance during init and once connected. Works fine under Windows.

Bought the modem for Linux, to replace my Winmodem.
