I was looking for keyboard reviews, but couldn't find any. The best I could find was the Microsoft Natural Keyboard. Its hard to believe that this is the best keyboard around. Anyone know of any cool keyboards that are < $60, maybe it would be cool if it had extra features such as a "natural" type shape. I actually saw one a couple of years ago, a keyboard that was the oppisite of the Natural Keyboard, it caved in. Don't know if those are still around, but I need something that's good for programming, as well as general typing.

Better ergy, curvy keyboards are:
Busby compact ergonomic keyboard - has media keys and internet keys - not that they will be usuable under linux ;-)

Trust ergy keyboard - cheap now - www.staktrading.com (http://www.staktrading.com) has a link to it (its under another re-branded name on Stak but its the same.) There are two versions, one with a touch pad like you get on laptops to replace the mouse, and the other without.

Best keyboard i've found is the cordless Logitech curvy keyboard - its around GB£90 (so more than your US$60) and you get the curvy cordless mouse with it also. Superb keyboard. Better than anything microsoft can push out by a long way. Again, the extra internet / media keys won't work under linux. (anyone know how to make them work?)

There are a lot of really cool keyboards out there - only problem is that $60 is pretty low. Here are some links that I found while searching for my keyboard (these are almost all out of your price range though).
http://www.kinesis-ergo.com (I got the contour model). http://www.datahand.com/home2.html http://www.innovativeoffice.com (link to ergo keyboards on the left) http://www.safecomputing.com (this is where I ordered mine from) http://www.infogrip.com (the BAT model is wild) http://www.directon.com

Make sure you try the keyboard before you buy it. I tried the Natural, and it didn't feel right, my wrists were bent too far up. Well, lemme restate that - try the keyboard if at all possible (the Natural is in a lot of stores, the other 'cool' keyboards aren't readily accessable).

This keyboard looks really cool to me. Cut down to the minimum. No BS. I'd definitely pick one up if the price tag was also cut down to the minimum. I don't understand how they can justify the price but the K'board is cool as hell.

Black or Smoke grey would be even better!

Hmm, my keybaord is a normal £5 ($8) one, last about 6 monthsish before it could do with being replaced.

Most modern eyboards have those dumb "power" keys and stuff now, at least the low end ones. Very annoying, - shifting ins/del/home/end/pgup/pgdown. GRR.

Oh well, thi one's OK, for now.

How about a cool cordless keyboard?

The best keyboards are from the HP computers, i had 2 of them in the past 5 years (one i totally destroyed while cleaning it :\

they are soft smooth keystroke and a good feel to where you never think you didnt type(unless your drunk http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif)

plus the newer ones are sealed key design, so the contacts are never exposed to air http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif
