I just installed Linux Mandrake 7.2 and I think its alll configured right. But it still says cant find server when i double click on netscape communicator. Can anyone help me. Any help would be appreciated.

If you can dial up to the Internet but you just can't view any web pages then it's your DNS server numbers that you will have to get from you ISP. If you put them in you should be alright.
The man has a good point there. That would be my first guess also.

Im on a cable modem so I dont dial up and my dns server is right. So I dont know what to do. One of my friends may think I need to turn off plug and play in the bios but im not sure how to do that on my computer. the computer is a compaq presario 5340

Oh! That at least is something I do know! With a Compaq you have to hit the F10 key when you see the red "COMPAQ" at boot-up. This will get you the BIOS menu. On my daughter's 4550 the PnP option is under the "advanced" tab. I don't know if turning this off will help, but it can't hurt.
