Whenever I boot with my RH 7.x CD, my machine makes it to the "boot>" prompt just fine. As soon as I hit enter and the initrd image uncompresses, the screen kind of "splits" into 2 different outputs. It's very strange and this is the only machine that I have ever seen this happen on. It just splits the text right down the middle vertically. All of my other machines work perfectly fine.
I think this either due to my motherboard (Jetway) or my Radeon.
On RH, when the GUI installer comes up, everything looks OK again.
After install which I never have a problem with when a boot up to runlevel 3 (login prompt only), the screen is split and the cursor acts incredibly goofy.
Does anyone have any clue about this or can offer me advice on how to fix it?
My setup on this machine:
AMD Thunderbird 1 GHz
Jetway Motherboard w/VIA chipset
Onboard sound
64 MB ATI Radeon AGP
Standard Keyboard and Mouse
