any one knows how to install a printer other than using printconf?
or how to solve the problem of all the dependencies that are required for printconf? :rolleyes:

It might help if you said which distro you were using as not all distros do this stuff the same way ;)

well I thought there is one program that detects and installs all printers (isn't it logical)

I believe redhat uses printtool, it should be installed by default, try that.
