I use Mandrake 8.0 with an AIT Rage 128 card and it works great until i try to run programs that use hardware acceleration (like tuxracer). The programs run fine for about 10 seconds and then the system locks up cold and i have to do a hardboot.

Any ideas?

You will need XFree86 4.1 and kernel 2.4.9 or one of the DrakeFreqs or later (MDK8.1 will work).

Most likely cause caus is due to a hardware bug in your graphics chipset. ATI fixed inthe later revisions, but but the earlier ones require a software fix that is available in the latest XFree.
